One of the most common reasons I hear from people about why they don’t work out is because they think it’s too late to start or they have a condition which feels may limit them. I’d like to introduce you to one of my clients, Paul, who crushes all the excuses, myths and reasons as to why you shouldn’t be working out.
Paul is 63, has a heart condition which he wears a pace makers for, has range of motion issues in his back and neck due to a nervous system disorder, high blood pressure, and has diabetes.
For Paul, those are non-issues and has not given up on himself, whereas I’ve spoken to many people who have given up on themselves and think they are hopeless.
Paul meets with me every week and gives it everything he’s got. His hard work and effort is paying off. Do date, Paul has lost about 60 pounds, his blood pressure medication has been reduced, he thinks he may be getting close to getting off diabetes medication, although he continues to have range of motion issues due to a nervous system disorder called Stiff Person’s Syndrome, his range of motion has improved and continues to do so, his energy levels are up and he just feels better!
Now that I’ve introduced you to Paul, what’s your excuse for not working out?
Here’s one more video of Paul I’d like to share with you. This was shot about 6 months ago.
