How to CRUSH your food cravings

We all have those cravings every now and again.

You know what I’m talking about…

Uncontrollable urges to devour your favorite food.

And when you get a craving for something sweet,
or greasy or salty, it feels like your best efforts
not to give in to them never seem to work.

So you end up giving in to them.

The way food is produced, it’s designed for you
to get hooked on salt, fat or sugar. The big food
giants create food products (which are primarily
processed foods) that actually increase your cravings.

There’s a really great book by Michael Moss called
“Salt, Sugar, Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us”
about this topic I highly recommend.

You need to incorporate strategies to help you get
control of your cravings that are doing damage to
your health which I’m about to share with you.

What causes food cravings?

When you eat all these processed foods, it stresses
out your digestive system.  Your gut has good
bacteria in it that keeps you healthy, as well as
bad bacteria which can cause health issues.

The bad bacteria in your gut thrives off of
salt, sugar and fat, which in turn, causes
food cravings.

How do you combat food cravings?

• With lots of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and probiotics
   in your system.  These help ensure that your body
   is getting the nutrients it needs and your digestive system
   is working optimally to break down and deliver the
   nutrients your body needs.

• You want to take a good quality probiotic to offset the
   bad bacteria in your gut with good bacteria.

• You want to start eating REAL whole foods that are
   not processed… you know… the good stuff 😉

• Eat every 3 hours to keep your blood sugar stable
   to avoid “crashes”.

Your body gets used to having a certain amount of sugar
in your bloodstream…

When that level dips, you go into a “crash mode”…

You feel very HUNGRY, the cravings can even seem overwhelming…
and you begin to eat whatever “bad stuff” is in reach to satisfy the
craving!

• The most effective (and healthiest) way to reduce your cravings
  for sweet foods is to avoid refined carbs and sugary foods.

• Make sure you stay hydrated.  Hydration is key and
  most people aren’t in a hydrated state.

• Food cravings happen when you’re tired dehydrated and
   you haven’t eaten in 4 or more hours.

If you start to incorporate these tips to crush your food
cravings today, you’ll discover that you’ll have more
energy, focus, clarity and as a bonus, you’ll lose those
5 -10 pounds you’ve been struggling to get rid of 🙂
